Quality And Care

At Hunter Design Company we use two different types of finishes. We went through many different products until we found two that reflect the values and quality we strive for at Hunter Design. Both products reflect our eco-friendly and pet safe values while still bringing a magnificent finish to your piece.

Stone Coat Epoxy finishes bring a stunning, high gloss sheen to your table, while also offering durable protection for your wood. This finish will show scratch and scuffs more easily because of this glass like finish, however it will protect your wood against everyday use and is renewable. Scratches and scuffs can be polished out and with proper care it will last for years and years.

Odie’s Oil is our favorite finish to use. It is an all natural product that will actually harden over time. This product brings the wood to life like none other and can be reapplied over the years. It is as simple as wipe on and buff off.

Oil Finishes

There are three different ways to clean Odie’s Oil Finishes

  • mix 1 part vinegar with 10 parts water and clean with a terry cotton cloth

  • You can use soapy water, but remember to rinse all the suds off, then wipe dry

  • You can make your own cleaner using Odie’s cleaning concentrate. This will clean, refresh, and rejuvenate your finish.

  • Easy to clean

  • Simple upkeep

  • Easy to repair

  • Wash with soap and water and a non abrasive rag
